Andrew Malone by AmandaDrage Andrew Malone by AmandaDrage
8x10" commission portrait of a Tennessee Walker gelding named Andrew Malone. Coloured pencils and pastel on velour paper.

I was given a range of photos to work from, and the one I was drawn to most happened to be the commissioner's favourite, because she said it caught his "Pasture King" character. Andrew fractured his shoulder last year and has been on paddock rest since. From what I've been told, he sounds like quite a character.

Thank you Louise :) Yes, it's been received and she liked it more than the photo - it's a relief when they receive the velour pieces, because the photos never do them justice as I'm sure you're familiar with! I can never get photos that quite capture the softness.
