2012 Summary of Art by AmandaDrage 2012 Summary of Art by AmandaDrage
Just one of those summary thingys. Template: =DustBunnyThumper [link]
I did a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between subject, style and medium compared to past years. Not sure if that was a good thing!

Jan: [link] loving this style, doesn't always work, but here it does!
Feb: [link] Not so keen but Feb was a quiet month
Mar: [link] Enjoying my new Derwent colour pencils
Apr: [link] Little watercolour experiment
May: [link] One of my big fears... cat painting D:
Jun: [link] Step 2 of tackling said fear!
Jul: [link] Because snow leopards =
Aug: [link] (Actually from July but I have nothing decent from August)
Sept: [link] Small paintings are fun
Oct: I was a bad person this month.
Nov: Having said that I was busy moving house, but eh... 2 months no art!?? I need a smack for that.
Dec: [link] back to what I do best XD

This is supposed to be blue, but now I'm on the other monitor it looks a lovely shade of "dA Special Green". Obviously my monitor needs calibrating.

:w00t: It was alright, could have been worse! I'm going against 2011 and 2010 which were two super-productive years. Non-art months is just not good enough though, no excuse :XD:

This is very cool! Looking at this, I'm reminded again how much I love and admire your style! Your anatomy skills in all the animals are great, their 'jizz' is captured well (I think not so many artists can do that) and it's all in traditional media and that beautiful painterly style! Keep up the good work! :aww:

Aw thank you :) I appreciate that! I do try hard to capture the right things about the animal I'm painting. I think maybe because I tend to pick quite emotive images as my references... something that really shows the personality, or something with interest, so that shows through in the work. :) Basically if it has shiny eyes, I'll paint it lol

I think it's great to explore different subjects, medium, and styles. It broadens one's capabilities. :D
My favorites are January, May, June, August, September and December. :aww:

Yes that's very true! And I'm happy that I feel comfortable doing it. But sometimes I feel like I'd benefit more if I concentrated on one thing at a time, and for a longer period. I flit too much. :XD:
I'm glad you enjoyed, thank you!
